About the Event

Tippy Lyra Clinic This 90 minute clinic will take your lyra practice to the next level....or plane. Tippy Lyra is a dynamic aerial apparatus rigged horizontally from two points, allowing the lyra to tilt, privot and act like a seesaw, unlike a standard static lyra. This clinic will cover how to achieve balance and control while exploring this playful, yet challenging apparatus.  In this clinic you'll explore: -Foundational mounts and dismounts -Balance and stabilization techniques -Controlled spinning and momentum management -Shape creation and transitions unique to Tippy Lyra Requirements: This clinic is designed for experienced aerialists with a solid Lyra foundation who are ready to challenge their coordination, grip, and spatial awareness in a new way. Must be a solid AZCC Level 1 or higher student level.  For Ages 16+ - younger ages must have approval to attend. About Lena:Lena Autumn is a Phoenix based aerialist and has been training with Arizona Circus Center since 2023. She has taken part in two student showcases through AZCC including one on tippy lyra and other local showcases around the valley. She has competed and placed in two Aerial Arts Society competitions on lyra in California. She loves sharing her passion of aerial arts with the many talented people in the community.

Special Instructions

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and warm up. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join due to the progressive nature of this workshop. Prerequisites: This clinic is designed for students with prior Lyra experience. Participants should be comfortable with mounts, inversions, and working in the air independently. What to Wear: Form-fitting athletic clothing that covers the backs of knees (leggings recommended) Avoid loose clothing and anything that may get caught on the apparatus No jewelry (rings, bracelets, watches) Safety Notes: Tippy Lyra is a dynamic, free-moving apparatus. Coaches will provide progressions and spotting, but students should be prepared for a challenging and unstable environment. Capacity is limited to ensure a safe and supportive experience. Pre-registration is required. Cancellation Policy: All sales are final. No refund will be issued.  Cancellations made 48+ hours in advance may recieve a student credit for the full amount. Cancellations within 48 hours of the event are not elgible for credit or transfer.
