About the Class

Grab your hand weights and get your whole body feeling and looking stronger, more toned, and more aligned in this 45-minute strength conditioning class.  This class is primarily focused on weightlifting and deep muscular work using traditional strength exercises that focus on the core and larger muscle groups of the body.  Strength training is one of the most important aspects of physical training and one of the best ways to get you feeling and performing better from head to toe.  If your fitness regimen includes mostly cardio programming, you need this class to balance it out and keep your joints working optimally.  Plus, it’s really fun!  Along with a mat and hand weights, we incorporate the use of a Stability ball (available in the KSF store) along with the small pieces of equipment in the KSF Equipment Bundle (Bender Ball, Gliding Discs, Figure 8 tubing, and BOSU Band).  Non-equipment options are always made available for most exercises in this class, so if you only have a set of hand weights, you can still take this class.  On-the-floor options are also available for exercises using the stability ball for those who do not have one.  For more information on what to expect, you can check out this video which explains everything you’ll need for class.

Special Instructions

You will need some dumbbell hand weights and a Stability ball for this class.  We utilize both long and short-lever exercises so you will want to have a few options for weights.  Some heavy and some not so heavy.  Free-weight dumbbells are the best for this class.  You’ll want to have some options for weights as you progress through this class. If you are unsure of what weights to have, please see this video where Ken breaks it down, so you know you have what you need ahead of time.  Occasionally, we also incorporate the items from the KSF Equipment Bundle (Bender Ball, Gliding Discs, BOSU Band, and Figure 8 tubing), but modifications are always given for those that do not have these items.
