About the Class

Lyra - Lyra, or Aerial Hoop, is an acrobatic discipline composed of poses and movement sequences performed on a steel hoop suspended at chest to shoulder height. Introduction to Lyra No Prerequisite Looking to start your aerial journey?  Intro to Lyra will cover introductory mounts and poses to get you acquainted with the Lyra as an aerial apparatus.  Example skills include: Straddle Mount Amazon Pose Man on the Moon Beginning Lyra  Pre-Req: Intro to Lyra Once you are comfortable with the Intro to Lyra skills, you will continue learning basic mounts, poses and sequences from the bottom and top bar of the Lyra. Example skills include: Crescent Moon Mount Pegasus Split Beauty Roll Sequence

Special Instructions

Cancellation Policy: You must cancel your reservation more than 3 hours prior to the start of class to avoid a late cancellation penalty or charge. Parking & Entrance: Ample street parking is available for Skybound participants.  Parking in the Tempest front parking lot is prohibited. Look for our signage on the side of the building and enter through the side door marked with our logo. Proper Attire: Wear comfortable, form-fitting activewear. Clothing should cover your full legs, back and abdomen. Jewelry, watches and clothing with zippers or buckles are prohibited as they can cause bodily injury or apparatus damage.   Piercings must be removed or covered with tape. Hair that is long enough to swing in front of your face must be secured back. You can choose to be barefoot or wear socks during class.
