Artistic Body Development

Michael established Artistic Body Development in 1986 through the training and encouragement of his ballet master Larry Boyette. Mr Boyette was a seasoned ballet dancer for both the American Ballet Theatre and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and practiced the Pilates Meathod under the instruction of Joseph Pilates himself. Mike took the instruction, and his experience as a dancer with Ballet Arts Theatre, to develop Myopatterning and found Artistic Body Development. Since the creation of the company, Mike has trained numerous students in the study of Pilates and Kinisiology, including an adjunct position at Colorado College, and a private instructorship at the University of Colorado. His reputation in both the ballet and exercise communities let to invitations to instruct at the Vail International Festival of Dance and at ballet companies in Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, Atlanta, Paris, Stuttgart, Rio de Janeiro, among others.
