Clinical Strength Training Basics

CLOSED

About the Class

This PT-led semi-private class offers a structured, clinically informed introduction to weight training for women who want to build strength safely — with the added confidence of working directly with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. In 30 focused minutes, Dr. Lisa guides you through a brief warm-up, several sets of foundational combination exercises, and a short cooldown stretch. The movement selection — squats, lunges, rows, overhead press, and similar compound patterns — is grounded in research supporting improvements in bone density and functional strength over time. Progressions are introduced thoughtfully as you build confidence and capacity. This class is particularly well-suited for women navigating perimenopause or menopause, an osteoporosis diagnosis, recovery from injury or surgery, or GLP-1 use — and for anyone who wants the reassurance of a clinical setting while learning to lift with confidence. No prior strength training experience is needed, and no long-term commitment is required. Drop in using your semi-private membership.
