About the Class

Ramp up your cardiovascular fitness with our Group Cardio/HIIT classes at APEX PWR. These sessions cater to all fitness levels and foster a supportive community atmosphere. Each class follows a consistent three part format for a comprehensive workout:    Warm-Up: Dynamic Mobility and Resistance Bands Prepare your body with dynamic stretching and light movements. We use resistance bands to activate key muscles, enhancing flexibility and circulation, setting the stage for an effective, injury-preventative workout.   Erg Work: Building our Engine This segment of your workout uses interval training in both solo and partner workouts that raise the heart rate and challenge your ability to breathe during various durations of work. Each day consists of erg work that could focus on one or multiple of the 3 major energy system pathways.    Core Work: Stabilizing our Base The final segment of Cardio/HIIT sessions focuses on core exercises that target all areas that compose the midsection of the body. We focus on this at the end of cardio to promote stability in that area and beyond while challenging athletes to maintain proper form after fatiguing erg work.
