BODYWORKS evolved approximately 20 years ago. I taught physical fitness at several churches, a community college, and spas. I always dreamed of having a place of my own. My objective was to provide a place where I could help meet the needs of people who wanted to change their lifestyle. Those who wanted to become healthier without the large crowds and the contracts. Here at BODYWORKS, we are up close and personal. I learn what makes my students tick, their needs and their potentials. I use these factors to motivate them to do their best during their workout. Students who have been with us consistently have passed the police academy physical exam with flying colors, and some have bought shoes in place of high blood pressure medication and others have impressed their doctors with outstanding check-ups. In order for students to realize their abilities, they participate in a variety of outside activities such as rock climbing and 5k races and Greenline Ride. Whenever I'm requested to present a demonstration I always include my students. It is my belief that an instructor is only as good as his or her students. BODYWORKS has provided workshops for numerous community and church events. My students and I have led the warm-ups as well as conducted workshops for the Women Heart Conference for the last eight years.
