Pole Heels: Drill Bits(Ages 16+)

About the Class

For students in pole 2 and up or equivalent experience.  You should be comfortable holding some of your body weight with your upper body.  Would you like to spend some quality time conditioning your feet and legs for heels dancing, and then deep dive into some foundational heels techniques? This is your class. We will begin with some conditioning exercises targeting our hips, calves, ankles, feet, and toes that are specifically designed to prep our bodies for dancing in platform heels. The second part of class will be covering 2-3 foundational movements used in heels low flow styles of pole dancing, everything from stylized walks to slides, glides, heel drives, and more. We’ll end with a few minutes of freestyle time to give students a chance to practice incorporating the movements into their muscle memory and personal style.  This class is great for those at the beginning of their heels journey as well as experienced dancers wanting to focus on conditioning and refining movements.     Students should bring 7” or 8” tall platform style heels (I.e. pleasers, hella heels).  Sandal style heels are great, boot styles are also welcome.  Some moves will require knees on the ground, so bring along some knee pads if you’d like.    Prerequisites: For students in pole 2 and up or equivalent experience.  You should be comfortable holding some of your body weight with your upper body.
