Aerial Trapeze

CLOSED

About the Class

Get ready to fly! This class is intended to safely start you on our aerial trapeze journey by developing core strength, grip strength, shoulder strength, full body endurance and flexibility. Skills taught will include basic climbs, tricks, and sequences. No experience required, but the Intro to Aerials class is recommended for beginners.

Special Instructions

Wear tight fitted clothing that covers your legs and torso, like leggings and a fitted t-shirt or tank, which helps protect your skin. You'll be inverting, so avoid tops or bottoms that will open up. All aerial apparatuses can feel a bit uncomfortable at first while your body adjusts to the new sensations. Bring a sweatshirt or long sleeve top, especially in the colder months as it can take a while for our bodies to warm up. Having an extra layer can help keep your muscles warm and can protect the skin on your arms when trying new skills and tricks for the first time. Please leave all jewelry and clothing with zippers/buttons/sequins at home (yes, even earrings pose a safety hazard for you and the integrity of our apparatuses, so please take them out just during class). These items can snag, and in the case of the fabric aerial classes, can damage the  fabric. Long fingernails can make it difficult to grip the fabric, so they’re not ideal for aerial arts. We don't want anyone attending class to feel uncomfortable by what others wear, so we appreciate your higher level of modesty.
