About the Class

Brazilian/Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques and strategies can be used for self-defense, sport and mixed martial arts applications. We define Jiu-Jitsu as the “gentle art”, where technical leverage and stragegy are used to control and submit opponents. Jiu-Jitsu is also defined by its elements: Self-Defense, Grappling, Clinching, Striking and Philosophy. Taking regular Jiu-Jitsu classes improves strength, cardio, flexibility, confidence, mental acuity and weight loss. Those who immerse themselves in our community will also make new friends. Families who train together often improve their familial bonds.
