Bungee Basics

About the Class

New to bungee? This is where your flight begins. Bungee Basics is your required introduction to bungee fitness at SBAF. In this 90-minute session, you’ll get comfortable in your harness, learn essential terminology, and build the foundational skills used in all bungee classes. This is not a full workout—it’s a guided learning experience designed to set you up for success, safety, and confidence in the air. You’ll learn: Proper harness setup and positioning Safety fundamentals Basic footwork and movement patterns How to move with (not against!) the bungee ✨ Think of this as your launchpad. Once you’ve completed Bungee Basics and feel confident in the movements, you’ll be ready to level up into Bungee Burn and any other Level 2 classes.

Special Instructions

Weight Requirements: Participants must weigh between 90–275 lbs. For safety and proper equipment setup, all first-time clients will be weighed privately at the studio before class. This ensures correct bungee calibration. Clients outside this range will not be permitted to participate and are not eligible for refunds or credits. What to Wear: We recommend wearing two layers of shorts or leggings until you’re used to the harness. Padded bike shorts are a great option for extra comfort. We do provide pads for free for Bungee Basics, and you can rent/buy a pad for Level 2 and up classes. Wear a fitted top (you may go upside down!) and bring water—you will get sweaty. Contraindications: Bungee fitness is not recommended if you: Are pregnant Have had surgery within the past 6 months Have chronic pain or conditions involving the shoulders, wrists, hands, or lower back If unsure, please consult your physician before participating. Age Requirement: Ages 14+. Participants under 18 must have a parent/guardian present. Arrival Policy: Please arrive on time. Doors lock at the start of class for safety—late entry is not permitted.
