Fire 101 (Ages 18+, or 16-17 with Parental Attendance)

About the Class

Have you ever wanted to dance with fire, but didn't know where to start? Now's your chance! In this class, you will learn basic fire safety, fuel handling techniques, and risk mitigation in fire spinning. Take your pick of several different props with the option to learn basic skills and tricks for each, or simply flow however feels right to you. Once you have all the knowledge you need, it’s time to experience your first burn! Please come to class in Fire Attire: clothing with at least 60% natural fibers (100% cotton or bamboo are best, check your tags!) that is well-fitting and not loose or flowy. Jeans and a t-shirt or a tank top are a good place to start! This class is meant for absolute beginners, but if you've dabbled in fire but maybe never learned fire safety or proper fuel handling, we ask that you attend this class once before moving onto Fire Flow.
