Rachel is a professor and scholar with a Doctorate in Education and a BA and MA in English language and literature. Rachel studied Sappho in Greece as part of her Master's degree. She was a National Endowment Scholar who had the opportunity to study the Etruscan culture in southern Switzerland and Italy. These experiences have deeply informed her teaching philosophy. Beyond her professional life, Rachel is a proud parent to her daughter, Sade, who's shown remarkable enthusiasm for fencing and became a part of the academy in October 2022.
