Weekend Open Play
About the Class
During open play, children should feel free to explore our ball wall, magnet wall, air kinetics station, extra large sensory bin, movement zone, big building blocks, STEAM wall, and sensory cave. All our exhibits allow for open-ended play and parents are encouraged to let their children follow their own interests throughout the space. We rotate and change our offerings based on the season, staffing and booking so you'll be able to visit multiple times a week and always have a fresh experience!
Special Instructions
Please don't forget the following important details and feel free to reach out with any questions before you visit: Directions to STEMspot: Navigate to 354 Merrimack St. and enter from the doors at Entrance A (under the Salvatore’s Restaurant sign). Take elevators to the 3rd floor and walk down the hallway until you see the giant mirror! Parking: There is ample free parking in the giant lot at 354 Merrimack St. 1) Our play area is shoe-free. Please bring your own socks or you can purchase some when you check-in. 2) If you are a sibling that is age 9 or over, you can enjoy free admission. Join your caregiver in the café for a snack or beverage and finish up homework, read a book, play a game, or ask our front desk for art supplies. Unfortunately, to ensure a safe environment for our tiniest guests, you are not permitted to enter the play area or classroom unless you are assisting a younger sibling. 3) Feel free to bring your own water and nut-free snacks! Please enjoy them in the café area. We ask that you don't bring in coffee or espresso drinks from other places—we've got a great selection of barista-crafted beverages for you to order here while you recharge. 4) Please sign our waiver and review our rules, regulations, and kindness policy before your visit. We're dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and unique space for kids and their caregivers, and we've thoughtfully crafted our guidelines to protect and nurture our community. 5) If something comes up last minute and you need to reschedule your open play slot—no worries! We get it—life happens--we're all doing this parenting thing too. Just reschedule online and we'll see you next time!
