True “De Verdade” Rasuli Emeka is an Afro-Indigenous, Seattle Angoleiro, born directly into the world of Capoeira. A school teacher by trade, True is dedicated to the radical uplift their communities through education, cultural pride, and community building. Having spent their entire life in the roda de capoeira, True instills in everything they do with the wisdoms of Capoeira Angola, and with the intention of bringing everything they gain in the world back to their Seattle community.
