Being physically active has been a main stay of Henry’s life from a young age. He started sailingat six, was introduced to rock climbing at thirteen, summited his first peak, Mount Marcus Baker,in the Chugach Range of Alaska at sixteen, began mountain biking and ski touring in college, climbed the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere, Mount Aconcagua, at twenty-one, andjoined the Marines at twenty-nine. Plus, Henry played multiple team sports, both competitiveand intramural, through high school and college. In addition, Henry has spent much of hisworking life doing physically demanding jobs in the construction industry. As he approached 40(he’s now nearing 55), Henry realized that being physically active was not sufficient to maintainthe high level of fitness necessary to pursue his favorite outdoor sports at a level that broughthim joy and satisfaction. That became even more true after becoming a dad himself, leavingeven less time to get out and get after it. As a result, Henry dove headfirst into the world ofstrength and conditioning training reading pretty much everything he could get his hands onrelating to fitness and performance, as well as attending trainings and seminars. He beganapplying what he learned to training himself and now, for the past five years, Henry has beenhelping active adults stay strong and fit so they can confidently pursue their favorite pastimes fora better, more meaningful life. Henry lives with his wife and son in CB South and spends his freetime mountain biking, skiing, camping, and climbing.
