Welcome to our Pilates class, where we're all about helping you feel your best, especially if you're dealing with gluteal tendinopathy, lumbar pain, hip pain, or SI joint issues. We're going to dive into a mix of gentle yet effective exercises that target these areas, helping to build strength, improve flexibility, and ease any discomfort. We'll start with some deep breathing and light stretches to warm up those muscles and get the blood flowing. Then, we'll move into specific exercises designed to strengthen your glutes without putting too much strain on them – think mini bridges, clamshells, and leg lifts and much more. These moves are great for stabilizing your hips and taking pressure off those tendons. For lumbar pain and hip issues, we'll focus on core stability. Expect lots of work on the mat with moves like pelvic tilts, gentle spine twists, and modified planks. These exercises help support your lower back and align your hips, making daily movements a lot more comfortable. SI joint issues? We've got you covered! We'll include some targeted stretches and strengthening exercises that help to balance and support your pelvis. Gentle stretching routines will ease tightness, while strengthening the surrounding muscles will give you that much-needed support. Throughout the class, listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right, let me know, and we'll adjust it. Our goal is to make sure you leave feeling better than when you walked in. We encourage you to bring in any exercises that you are currently doing with your Physical Therapist. We will incorporate theminto your Pilates routine.
