About the Event

Small group Prenatal/Postnatal Pilates Mat class (max 10 ppl) using small props including weights, therabands, Pilates Circle, small soft ball and booty bands. This modified pilates class is suitable for expecting mothers throughout pregnancy and for new mothers from 6 weeks postpartum. Modified pilates will help manage and prevent common pregnancy related aches and pains, preparing the body for birth and the physical demands of caring for a new baby. Classes focus on deep core and pelvic floor strength, mobilising of stiff/tight joints and muscles, postural awareness, stretching tight muscles and strengthening of the core, lower and upper body in a fun and welcoming environment suitable for all levels of fitness and pilates experience.  Modifications are provided for injuries or movement restrictions All equipment is provided. Please bring water and anything else to make yourself comfortable for the class!
