Jeesun hails from South Korea and traveled to the United States in 2013, where she made her home with her husband and welcomed her daughter in 2017. Jeesun has a strong passion for promoting the importance of physical activity and has received a Bachelor's and Master's in Physical Education, as well as a Doctorate in Sports Pedagogy from EWHA Woman's University in Seoul, Korea. Jeesun has lectured at various educational levels and stays abreast of the latest research on the significance of physical activity using qualitative research methods to deeply understand the meaning of each participant's experience. She has published articles and participated in conferences as an Independent Researcher. Suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for several years, Jeesun discovered Romana's Pilates and was captivated by the transformative power of the Classical Pilates method. She experienced firsthand the incredible potential within a simple yet profound concept and found that she could still lead a fulfilling life. She wanted to empower others to do the same. So, Jeesun worked hard in the United States and Korea, preparing for Romana's Teacher Training Program. She dedicated herself to studying and completing the 800-hour apprenticeship program under the Teacher of Teachers, Juanita Lopez, and The Midwest Director of Romana's Pilates, Rhonda Celenza, in 2023. Jeesun continues to advance her expertise under their mentorship. Jeesun is dedicated to enhancing students' posture and movement to help them lead healthier lives. Her commitment lies in becoming an exceptional guide, tailoring each student's Pilates journey to their unique needs and goals, and offering instruction in both English and Korean.
