Couture Pilates

I first discovered Pilates in a ballet class in high school. A former student of the studio came to teach a Pilates mat class to us and I fell in love! I continued practicing through college and after taking classes and doing videos. When I moved to Indianapolis from Bloomington after college, I became a nanny and an assistant teacher at a Montessori preschool. One of the moms I was nannying for was Joanna Couture. We talked about Pilates and she asked if I had ever thought about becoming a Pilates instructor. I said I would love to! In my free time, I enjoy creating snarky and ridiculous cross stitch patterns, riding my bike (which I ride just about everyday of the year), reading books and listening to podcasts about true crime and ghosts, and visiting local breweries and restaurants. I trained through Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI) and have been teaching at Balance Pilates for three years. I also teach a Pilates/Barre class at the Riviera Club.
