Rooted in Principles is a challenging and therapeutic Reformer class designed to improve joint function, core control, posture, and flexibility. We begin with the principles of Pilates: integrated breathing, centering and alignment, balance, and the rhythm and flow of whole-body movement before guiding you through coordination challenging modifications. We will work to uplevel your transitions to create heat while being rooted in control, moving with precision, and staying connected in mind/body awareness. Rooted in Principles is recommended for someone familiar with Pilates Reformer essentials. If you are brand new to Pilates, we ask you to enroll in our Foundations Workshop or Foundational Privates prior to taking this class.
What to wear? Whatever you are comfortable moving in. Layering is always a good option. Wear socks, Sticky Be brand is available for purchase at the studio. What do I need in my Pilates bag? Please bring your socks, loops, and a personal water bottle.
