Pilates Level 1 is a full-body workout that teaches the foundational principles and exercises of the Pilates method. Exercises are performed on the Pilates Reformer and Pilates Springboard, sometimes with small Pilates props. This class is perfect for students who are new to Pilates, who need modifications because of injuries or chronic conditions, or anyone who likes to move a bit slower in their practice. Although this class moves at a slightly slower pace, you will still be challenged and get a great workout! We strongly encourage anyone new to Pilates to complete at least 10 Level 1 classes before moving to Level 2 classes.
