Emily, originally from New Jersey, moved to New York City after finishing her degree in Art History at Rutgers University. Through working in the fast paced art world, she discovered the profound benefits of Pilates in connecting her mind and body, which brought balance to her daily life.With a background in Irish Dance, Emily has explored various forms of exercise from HIIT to Yoga. However, it was during her personal journey towards mental well-being that she truly appreciated the significance of being fully present in your body. Embracing the ethos that "motion is medicine", she became inspired to share the power of Pilates by pursuing a teaching certification. Her teaching philosophy revolves around empowering individuals to recognize the diverse benefits of Pilates, including strength, muscle toning, mental clarity, pain management and prevention. She aims to foster an inclusive environment where all can discover and harness the positive impact that mindful movement can have on one's overall well-being. She is currently training under Ann Toran to become a certified Balanced Body Reformer Instructor.
