About the Group: This peer-led group is a great way to gather and chat, in a safe and caring environment, with people who know a little of what you are going through as you deal with the realities of a cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. We are all in need of connection. Where connection and creativity meet - beautiful things can happen. Bring your own projects and materials to explore a range of needlecraft techniques, including sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, and appliqué. This session is a great chance to learn new skills, exchange ideas, and work on your projects while connecting with fellow crafters. If you’re new to knitting or don’t have supplies, we’ll have some limited knitting materials available for you to try. About the Facilitator - Meet Nicole: I am an Inflammatory Breast Cancer Survivor since 2019. I have transitioned to working full time again. I am an artist and a technologist in architecture. I have a passion for many different visual art media inclusive of needlecraft, painting, photography, drawing, and sculpture work. I look forward to seeing old friends and new. This program is free for those affected by cancer and their caregivers, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Participants must be aged 18 or above to take part in this program.
