About the Class

Qigong (pronouned chee kung) is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This gentle practice can be done seated or standing. We will practice deep breathing, gentle stretching, relaxation, listening to our bodies and calming our nervous systems to cultivate a healing state. Please wear comfortable clothes, shoes and bring a water bottle. No experience is necessary. It’s simple and easy.    About the Facilitator Julia Miller (she/her) has her Master of Science in Aging and Health (Queen's University) and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University). Julia is passionate about creating safe spaces and supporting people in living their best possible quality of life possible. She enjoys teaching mind/body practices such as Qigong and TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises).   To ensure fair access for everyone, registration for this program opens 30 days in advance. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you!   This program is free for those affected by cancer and their caregivers, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Participants must be aged 18 or above to take part in this program.
