Jax Natural Healing
I have been practicing yoga for more than a decade, but not on a consistent basis until a few years ago. After hopping around different studios, I found Vive at a pivotal point in my life- I dug deep about who I am and what I wanted and what yoga really is to me. It became a regular part of my life, and my dose of therapy some days. As someone who tends to live in their head, yoga helped me connect to my body and heart. It gave me the opportunity to move through my emotions in a healthy way, instead of shoving them down or overthinking to exhaustion. Intentional movement is incredibly beneficial for the body to process stress. Working in the physical rehabilitation field, I have seen how detrimental a lack of movement can be, as can overexertion, from a physical and mental standpoint. My goal as your yoga instructor is to guide you to a balanced and authentic connection with your body, to help you work with it instead of resisting against it, to listen and talk and dance with it. My goal is to uplift you when you leave your comfort zone to challenge yourself, and to give you grace when what you need is peace and rest. My intention is to create a space for you to unite with all aspects of yourself, and to welcome you to a compassionate community. I hope for your yoga practice to extend to all areas of your life, from improved mobility and strength, to smoother regulation of your nervous system when dealing with life's curveballs, and to nurturing aligned relationships that bring you joy. My yoga flow is a journey, ever changing and adapting based on the waves of our day to day lives, and I find that it is always what I need it to be in that moment. To me it is self care, its a way of life, something I lovingly choose for myself, a way of honoring the life that I live and connecting with friends who share my love for it. This practice has changed my life, and it is my pleasure to be of service to those of you who choose to share your energy with me in this space. -Amra Mujagic
