About the Class

This class aims at relaxing and calming your entire body and mind. In this class, we begin with a restorative pose, during which students are guided into relaxation through meditation and pranayama (breathework). Restorative Yoga is a gentle, therapeutic practice that allows the body to open at its own pace. Using props for support, most poses will be done on the floor, we will hold certain poses for 3-5 minutes without effort or force. This allows the body to relax deeply while the mind rests. You will leave with an expanded awareness of your body’s unique holding patterns. The result is not only more lubricated and flexible joints, but also a greater sense of peace, balance and harmony. A great addition to any exercise program, students who take this class regularly will see increased flexibility, improved sleep and better exercise performance in other classes!
