Reiki is a holistic approach originating from Japan. The word “Reiki” - “rei,” which means universal, and “ki,” which means life energy. Reiki is often translated as universal life energy. It involves a practitioner gently placing their hands on or near the recipient's body to channel universal life energy to promote relaxation. Reiki can induce a state of deep relaxation, and promote a sense of calmness. Combining Chakra alignment focuses on clearing and energizing the seven main energy centers in the body to improve the flow of prana (life energy). Prepare for the Session: Before the session, wear comfortable clothing and remove any jewelry or accessories that may interfere with the treatment. You may also want to let the practitioner know about any specific areas of concern or intention you have for the session. Starting the Reiki Session: Once you're comfortably positioned, the Reiki practitioner will begin the session by channeling Reiki energy, either through gentle touch or by holding their hands above your body. The practitioner may also incorporate traditional Reiki symbols and techniques to enhance the energy flow. Chakra Activation: During the session, the practitioner may place crystals, or mantras. Enhancing Energy Flow: Reiki energy, working in harmony with the body's energy systems to promote balance and healing. Some people also experience additional sensations or insights when crystals are incorporated into the session. Deepening Relaxation: As with a traditional Reiki session, the goal is to promote relaxation, and overall well-being. Closing the Session: Once the session is complete, the practitioner will typically conclude the energy work and may offer additional guidance or insights based on the experience. Take some time to slowly reorient yourself to your surroundings and integrate your experience.
