Detox + Steam (Garshana + Svedhana)
About the Appointment
Indulge in an invigorating full-body brushing or garshana. Garshana is a Sanskrit term for dry-brushing. Using a dry brush, vigorous strokes will be applied over the body and joints to exfoliate dead skin cells, increases circulation, and improve lymphatic movement and drainage. This is a great treatment for detoxing the body and those with a kapha prakruti or vikruiti. This treatment is followed by a cocoon of blankets with a warm herbal steam with herbs to complete the detoxification process; eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon balm, rosemary, and lavender. This treatment will renew your mind and body, invigorated, and clean!
Special Instructions
For any of our body therapy appointments, we recommend the following: * a body therapy form must be completed prior to the appointment when booking for the first time. You can complete the form here. * arrive with an empty stomach, with clean hair (not wet), and a clean face (no make-up) * we recommend avoiding caffeine on the day of your service * wear loose, comfortable clothing for after your treatment * arrive 5 min early to use the restroom * you may choose to bring a hair towel to cover your head after the shirodhara Cancellation Policy: We love serving you here at SimpleVeda! We are dedicated to your health journey and put a lot of time, attention, and resources into our treatments and consultations. Please understand that we are making a commitment to reserve this time for you and we appreciate you doing the same. Due to the length of these appointments, they are only available a few times a month. Therefore, if you cancel your appointment you're inhibiting the ability of others to take this appointment. We ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule that you do so with ample notice. Please call by 10 a.m. two (2) working days prior to your scheduled appointment. If an appointment is canceled after 10 a.m. two (2) working days prior to your scheduled appointment you will be charged 50% of the scheduled service. If an appointment is cancelled the same day as your scheduled appointment, the full amount of the service will be charged.
