I love all kinds of movement. I practiced gymnastics from an early age and loved floor exercise the most because of the dance element. I never remember a time when I didn't love to dance. In fact, it is hard for me to sit still if I hear music (you might have seen me pushing my cart down the aisle in Wegmans while tripping the light fantastic).  In law school, I was a runner, but an injury sent me to the weight room where I discovered strength training. This shifted my whole approach to fitness because I became keenly aware of the benefits of strength training to my physical and mental health. I've been strength training now for over 40 years. My goal is to let people know that weights are nothing to be afraid of (you won't become Arnold Schwarzenegger) and they can enhance your health.  I discovered Nia in 2015 and fell in love with the form and freedom of the movement. The dance floor is where I go to be totally free and uninhibited so I became a Nia blue belt. Did I mention that I love to dance? When not dancing at SoulShine or working out in the gym, I'm either teaching students with dyslexia how to read, enjoying time in my art studio, or going on an adventure with my husband.
