Vibrational Sound Therapy (60 Minutes)

About the Appointment

Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) is a gentle modality that activates the parasympathetic nervous system through vibration and rich sound with a multitude of overtones, thus reducing stress in the body. Gentle waves of vibration undulate through the body (composed of about 75% water) in an organized geometric pattern through the tissues, gently massaging the body’s cells. Deep relaxation is quickly reached and this space is where your body begins to heal. Gentle vibration coxes imbalances in the body to return to a more harmonized state of being, much like the healing vibrational purr of a cat. It isn’t uncommon to physically feel better or to have old emotional traumas released. Therapeutic singing bowls of various sizes, hertz, and subdued volume that have been crafted specifically for vibrational resonance, are placed on or around the body. Soft mallets are used so as not to disrupt the fluctuations of brainwave patterns most will slip into. During the session, time slows or seems to disappear, physical space dissolves, and yet your energy flow is stimulated with mental freshness and awakened senses promoting natural healing, leaving you comforted with a sense of natural well-being.  VST can help us be internally aware, present in the moment, and better connected to our relationships and surroundings.

Special Instructions

Before Your Session Please wear comfortable, loose clothing. No jeans please. You will be asked to remove all jewelry, especially naval jewelry, and your shoes. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to settle in and get acquainted with your practitioner. Late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment time.  After Your Session After your VST session, please allow plenty of extra time to enjoy a cup of hot tea in our Relaxation Lounge or utilize our Aromatherapy Bar to waken your senses before departing. With deep states of relaxation achieved, you’ll want to acclimate before leaving. Try to allow time in the remainder of your day to continue to relax in order to prolong your state of being and remember - drink plenty of water!
