I started practicing yoga in 2006 simply for the exercise. As I began to deepen my yoga practice, I began to realize this wasn’t just about the work out. As I applied the foundations and principles of yoga, my entire life start to shift and transform. I started to view life from this new state of openness, awareness, and possibility. What started out as workout had become so much more. It was a new way of being! I knew I wanted to level up my practice, so in 2012 I obtained my first yoga teacher training in Costa Rica. Since then I have had the opportunity to complete many trainings in multiple different yoga styles. Teaching yoga is truly my passion. It allows me to connect with myself and my students, and allows for a positive creative outlet. My favorite styles to teach are yin, yin/yang and power flow. I believe that yoga is a journey, not a destination. My goal each class is to create a fun, inclusive environment, and to hold space for students to do some self inquiry. Each time we step on our mat is a new chance to discover something about our bodies, about the practice, and about the power of the body mind connection.In addition to teaching yoga, I am a Respiratory Therapist, working in Pulmonary Rehabilitation here in Red Deer. Yes, my entire life revolves around the breath, and I love it!When I am not working or practicing yoga, I love being outdoors, whether its camping, gardening, hiking, dirtbiking, or riding my Harley. I am a self proclaimed crazy cat lady, and love my chonky orange kitties Aslan and Wally.
