Sweet Serenity Yoga and Fitness

Since childhood, yoga has been helping me manage my highly imaginative mind. In 2012, I embraced yoga as my life-long therapist and enrolled in yoga teacher training. I trained in Vancouver at a Yoga Alliance registered school with Thomas Hicks, a lovely yogi, myo-facial release enthusiast, and vipassana meditator. The training helped me connect with my body and see it from an entirely new perspective– as a highly evolved organism.I became less interested in how people judged my body and more interested in my experience. The end of teacher training left me standing at what felt like the edge of a cliff. I could have safely walked away from teaching yoga or taken the plunge into the void where anything could happen to me. I was so scared that instead of jumping, I hurled myself at my fear. I knew that if I waited any longer, my fear would get the best of me as always. Because of that leap of faith in life, I’m here meeting some of the best humans on this planet. It’s also how I gained the courage to share my personal writings on a public platform: www.nikikaur.ca My Offering Our relationship with ourselves is the nucleus for all other relationships. My classes are for anyone who wants to start building healthy relationships with themselves. We will improve breathing, strengthen healthy posture, enhance joint mobility, release mental and physical pain, experience life beyond the mind games, and tune into our intuition. Yoga is a practice for the whole individual– the mind, body, and soul.
