About the Class

Hatha Yoga is a wonderful entry point into a mindful, skillful, and deeply fulfilling yoga practice. As the foundation of all asana (posture) and pranayama (breath) techniques, Hatha offers a steady, accessible pace with a focus on form and alignment. You’ll explore a variety of fundamental poses, holding each for a set time as guided by your teacher, allowing you to build strength, flexibility, and balance while cultivating breath awareness to keep you present and focused. Each class begins and ends with moments of relaxation, incorporating guided breathing techniques, meditation, and mindfulness practices. The goal is to nurture both body and mind—supporting a healthy, resilient body and a clear, peaceful mind. Hatha Yoga is suitable for all levels—whether you’re brand new to yoga or looking to refine and deepen your existing practice. If you are pregnant, you are welcome to attend non-hot Hatha classes with a few modifications; please let your teacher know before class begins. Contraindications (Non-Hot Hatha): While Hatha Yoga is generally safe for most people—including beginners, seniors, and pregnant women—please consult your doctor before practicing if you have certain conditions such as high blood pressure, glaucoma, or sciatica, or if you are recovering from an injury.
