With over three decades of experience in the health and fitness industry, I am passionate about inspiring active living in a welcoming and community-oriented setting. My lifelong journey has been centered around getting people moving and helping them connect to their mind, body, and spirit. I believe in empowering individuals to define their own paths to wellness, blending my expertise with a deep commitment to lifelong learning and growth.As a certified yoga and fitness instructor since 1985, I bring a diverse skill set to my classes, teaching a variety of formats including yoga (hot yoga and various styles), barre, yoga/pilates fusion, cycle, resistance training, bootcamp, kickboxing, and dance fusion. My experience as both an instructor and a manager has allowed me to foster meaningful connections and mentor others in their fitness journeys. I have been privileged to serve as Group Fitness Manager and Yoga Co-Manager at Shapes Fitness Centres, where I developed innovative programming, trained teams, and nurtured a supportive fitness community.Holding certifications in yoga (200-hour RYT), barre, Pilates, and multiple group fitness formats, I combine technical expertise with an approachable and flexible teaching style. I am also a certified personal trainer (CANFIT PRO) and an evaluator of group fitness leaders through the Manitoba Fitness Council. My academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Education and years of teaching languages, which enhance my communication skills and adaptability in diverse environments.Beyond the studio, I find joy in continuous learning and staying at the forefront of the fitness industry. My goal as a yoga teacher is not only to guide students through their practice but also to create an inclusive space where they feel motivated, supported, and inspired to grow both on and off the mat.
