When Samara was introduced to the practice of Restorative yoga she dove in and never looked back, she began training with Judith Hanson Lasater and was personally mentored by her for many years, studying not only Restorative yoga but active Asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy and kinesiology, and nonviolent communication. Samara believes a consistent rest practice is necessary to support physical and mental health and to protect against burnout, chronic stress, and exhaustion. She sees resting as a liberatory practice and wants to create a future where all people have access to a safe space to rest, relax, and be.
