Sink into the perfect blend of deep relaxation and holistic rejuvenation for Arise's first ever seasonal AcuYoga event! This class will feature a slow flow to yin yoga followed by a gentle acupuncture reset. Immerse yourself in a gentle, meditative yoga practice that focuses on deep stretching and release alongside mindful breathing. Our experienced teachers will guide you through a series of poses designed to release tension, improve flexibility, and calm the nervous system. This slow-paced and well-supported yoga style allows you to connect deeply with your body, promoting inner peace and balance. The wisdom of East Asian medicine will be shared throughout the practice alongside offerings of bodywork and acupressure. In the final resting pose, yogis will be offered a gentle, holistic acupuncture treatment to send you blissfully off into the rest of your evening. Your acupuncturist for this event is Dr. Ally Magill, a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and educator. Visit her website for more information on Ally. https://www.glowinggateacupuncture.com/about-7 FAQs: What should I wear? We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. If you’re choosing to receive Acupuncture needles during the final resting pose, points used may be from your knees down to your ankles, from the elbows down, or on the ears or around the top of the head. Your acupuncturist will let you know what she needs access to so that you can adjust clothes before receiving the treatment. Do we do yoga with needles in? Needles are only offered in the final resting pose of class. Prior to the final resting pose, throughout the movements and held poses of class, the wisdom of East Asian medicine is offered through guided meditations & quotes, acupressure, tuning forks, essential oils, and other hands-on modalities to stimulate the acupuncture channels and qi. Do I have to get needles? Not at all! We understand feeling needle-shy. There are some spots reserved in each class for folks that are opting-out of acupuncture. You can choose to still receive the hands-on offerings throughout the class like essential oils, acupressure, and tuning forks, or you can opt-out of all touch and just enjoy the poses and the wisdom shared throughout class. Needles are only offered in the final resting pose, so you would enjoy your needle-free savasana while the rest of the class receives an acupuncture treatment. There are two types of spots available in each class; book the one called “Restorative Yoga WITHOUT ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT”. Please note, if the Acupuncture spots fill up for the class, you may not be able to change your mind to receive needles. Anyone can opt-out of needles at any time; opting in may or may not be an option based on how full the class is. What is an AcuNap? An AcuNap is the blissful resting state between waking and sleeping that patients often report while receiving an acupuncture treatment.
