THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME “I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding.” -John O’Donohue Our trip is intimate, deep and wild as we float the Green River through Canyonlands National Park in Utah. The time stands still in the silence of the canyons and our group will move through them with intention all the way to the confluence of the Colorado River where we will be picked up by a jet boat that will ferry us back to Moab. The entire journey is woven into the fabric of our practice to know and embody our innermost being. Nourishing our Souls and pouring our empty minds back into the flow of existence. Off the Map/ Self-guided The core of our retreat is to be immersed in nature. We are literally off the map. No cell phone reception, no roads and no access to professional medical care. Its probably one of the most remote regions in the Western United States. Self-guided means you are responsible for your camping gear, safety, well-being and choices on the trip. Our yoga schedule will evolve around the weather, tasks at hand and where we find ourselves. The flexible schedule will include vinyasa yoga, yoga nidra, breathwork/pranayama, meditation, qi-gong and guided writing circles. Our daily schedule depends largely on the weather and the conditions. We will aim to do yoga and circle up twice a day. The goal is to deepen our practice and immerse ourselves in the environment. To that end, we discourage bringing blue tooth speakers, but you are welcome to bring air pods or headphones. There is, for the taking, ample amounts of stillness and quietude. The time with oneself and the time together balance and amplify each other. A certain amount of fitness and strength is required. Due to the natural environment, there will be challenges, such as the possibility of extreme weather events and short but steep access to campsites.
