For years Amanda’s resume read IT Project Manager, Community Leader, Fitness Instructor; it wasn't until 2004 when she was first introduced to Hot Yoga—-that created a new spark of enthusiasm and she was hooked! With her newfound appetite for Hatha Yoga and through years of practice, she decided to go deeper and share her passion with others; as a result, Amanda completed her Yoga Alliance 200-hour teaching training in 2015 and in 2020 completed her YA 300-hour certification. She recently completed an Aerial Yoga certification in 2022. She teaches Hot 26 &2, Baptist Style Power Vinyasa, and Integrated Vinyasa™. Through teaching Amanda came to understand her practice better and recognized the need to impart to her students the idea that yoga is much more than simply a physical activity, but a way to approach life. Amanda enjoys sharing her love for yoga by teaching compassionately with an added athletic style. She feels it is important to not only reveal and emphasize safe form and alignment of a posture, but to understand the mechanics behind it. She strives to provide a class where her students feel challenged yet in control, and to create opportunities for students to move on their own terms. She aims to underscore the need to pause and check in with yourself before and during the practice, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. Yoga is an opportunity for us to pause and be with ourselves, in this present moment, just as we are.Amanda is also part of E8 Yoga’s Yoga Alliance® 200hr Teacher Training team.Follow her on Instagram @ThreeFlowersYoga.
