This class is a fun blend of movements geared toward getting you strong, balanced, flexible, and even a little sweaty. Each class will be a different combo of functional movement, mobility training, resistance and strength work, cardio, and yoga asana. Research has shown that these types of physical practices will help to strengthen muscles, increase range of movement, boost metabolism, avoid injury as well as build defenses against stress, fatigue, and illness. Our time together will begin with some centering, connection, and warm-ups using dynamic stretches and mobility work to makes sure are joints and muscles are ready to go. From there we will get into some circuit training or interval work involving body weight, bands, and/or weights with a focus on functional body work such as hinging, squats, and push/pull movements. We will end with a cool down and stretch using yoga asana…you are sure to leave this class feeling strong and empowered and ready to take on the day!
