While moving a warm body has many benefits to the bone joints, muscles and internal organs the practice of being aware of breath steadily clears the mind! Hydration: Drink ample water throughout the day, starting several hours before your class. Food: Eat a light, easily digestible meal at least 2 hours before class. Clothing: Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that allows for movement and sweat evaporation. Arrival time: Arrive at the studio early to acclimate to the heated room. Other considerations: Avoid heavy perfumes or lotions before class. Bring a towel to wipe sweat. Inform your instructor if you have any medical conditions.
