About the Class

Amrit Yoga is a gentle yoga practice for EVERY BODY.  The focus of this practice is meditative awareness, versus flexibility. Amrit Yoga is a combination of Hatha Yoga (postures) and Raja Yoga (meditation).  This mindfulness meditation practice uses gentle yoga postures, body awareness techniques and breath work to integrate the mind, body, heart and spirit. Known as the posture of consciousness, we will cultivate the ability to be steady, focused, and fearless in both holding the posture and in holding the purpose of our lives. This yoga practice reduces the effects of stress by balancing the autonomic nervous system, creating peace and balance within.  Your instructor, Deanna Gray, earned 500 hours of Yoga Alliance certifications in Amrit Yoga and traveled to India to earn a certification in I AM Yoga Nidra. She’s excited to share her passion for yoga with you.  This class is great for beginners and experienced students who wish to go deeper in their practice.
