The Intro to 26 + 2 is a Hatha Yoga practice that includes 26 yoga poses and 2 breathing exercises originally brought to the U.S. by Bikram Choudhury. In this practice the room is heated up to 92 degrees Fahrenheit, if you are unable to heat your room it;s recommended not to go quite as deep as in the poses as quickly. For this 75-minute class the sequence is done only one time, versus original Bikram Yoga Series is a 90-minute class that offers each pose twice. To give student the opportunity to practice meditation this class also includes a 15-minute mindfulness meditation, I AM Yoga Nidra, for the final Savasana.
