Instructor
Ocala Yoga Center
Michelle Black has been bending, stretching, and helping people feel amazing for years—long before yoga pants became a fashion statement. With an ERYT 200-hour Kripalu certification, she’s also trained in Advanced Assisting, Yoga 4 Cancer, Yin Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. She has a knack for making Chair Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and even the occasional “I swear I’m not flexible” student feel right at home. Originally from Pittsfield, MA, Michelle lived there until 2001, where she first dove into the fitness world. She earned her National Federation of Personal Trainers Certification in 1998 and went on to collect an impressive set of credentials, including certifications in Water Aerobics, Body Sculpting, and Indoor Cycling. She also mastered Sport Yoga (because, why not?) and even got certified in Yoga back in 1998 before it was mainstream. Since moving to Ocala, FL, in 2021 with her husband, Joel, Michelle has fully embraced sunshine, cycling year-round, kayaking, and rescuing Great Danes (because small dogs would just be too easy). She’s also passionate about homeopathic and naturopathic medicine, firmly believing that nature often has the best remedies—whether it’s a yoga pose or a homemade herbal tincture. When she’s not teaching, you can find her growing and canning organic food for her family, proving that you really can do it all. Her biggest passion? Helping people reach their personal goals, whether that’s touching their toes, finding their breath, or just surviving a yoga class with a smile (and maybe a laugh).
