About the Class

This class is designed for students who have completed the Introductory Iyengar Yoga series; or have some consistent yoga experience. The teachers will work at your level. More advanced practitioners will be given advanced instruction in the pose. Students with pre-existing conditions (neck, shoulders, knees, lower back) are given modifications to practice safely. People new to yoga should contact IYS at 941-363-1085 or susan@iyengaryogasarasota.com before signing up.   What you can expect to practice: Basic standing poses  are included, and standing balance poses and twists are introduced. Introductory backbends are included in the practice. Shoulderstand variations are introduced, and students begin learning head balance with preparatory poses and work at the wall.
