Shannon Thigpen has been in the wellness space for nearly 25 years. Her journey began with a love for movement as an aerobics instructor, eventually expanding to certifications as a personal trainer and yoga teacher. Over the years, she has also taught Zumba, step aerobics, and served as a fitness supervisor. For the past decade, Shannon has devoted more of her energy to teaching seniors and deepening her commitment to yoga. While she values the physical benefits of movement, her true passion lies in continually raising the bar for herself and encouraging others to do the same—mind, body, and spirit. Before stepping into the wellness world, Shannon spent 10 years with IBM—splitting her time between Philadelphia and Tampa. After leaving corporate life to focus on her growing family, she lived in California, Ohio, Massachusetts, and eventually returned to Tampa, where she continues to inspire others through movement and mindfulness. Shannon has been married for nearly 38 years and is a proud mom to three adult children. She holds certifications including: RYT-500 (Registered Yoga Teacher, Yoga Alliance) ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor NASM Certified Personal Trainer SilverSneakers® Instructor CPR & First Aid (American Safety and Health Institute) Mental Health First Aid (National Council for Mental Well-Being)
