Tai Chi (Indoor Class) This gentle, meditative movement practice focuses on slow, flowing sequences that cultivate balance, strength, coordination, and inner calm. Practiced indoors in a quiet, supportive environment, Tai Chi is accessible to all levels and offers profound benefits for both body and mind. For safety and ease of movement, shoes are not permitted. Participants are welcome to practice barefoot or, if preferred, wear socks with rubberized grips.
Therapeutic Tai Chi (Indoor Class) This slow, mindful movement practice is designed to support joint health, balance, coordination, and nervous system regulation. Practiced indoors in a calm, low-stimulus environment, Therapeutic Tai Chi is especially beneficial for older adults and anyone seeking gentle, sustainable movement. Why Tai Chi is supportive for older adults: Improves balance and fall prevention through controlled weight-shifting and postural awareness. Enhances joint mobility and circulation with slow, low-impact movements that reduce stiffness without strain. Calms the nervous system by pairing breath with intentional motion, supporting focus, confidence, and emotional well-being. Shoes are not permitted for this class to encourage grounding and stability. Participants may practice barefoot or wear socks with rubberized grips for added traction. This class is intentionally scheduled to complement the Yin Yoga practice that follows, gently warming the body, improving circulation, and preparing the joints and connective tissue for deeper, passive stretching and rest.
