About the Class

This class begins with Yin yoga, emphasizing stretching and strengthening of the muscles and internal organs while encouraging relaxation of the muscles through longer held poses. The latter portion of the class will be a meditation practice with breath work, visualization, and observing the present moment. The class will use techniques to encourage physical relaxation and increase calmness. It will include mindfulness as well as guided meditation. Students may use props such as bolsters, blocks, and blankets for comfort and warmth. Feel free to bring a journal and writing utensil to record thoughts. This class is suitable for all levels.
