About the Class

** Note: the temperature of the room is held between 80-85** This is a 60-minute class that combines Hatha (an energetic pose style that centers around force/counter-force engagement in the body) and Vinyasa (breath-based movement connecting the poses) to create a practice for building strength, joint stability, and mental focus.   Additional emphasis is placed on pranayama (conscious breathing), dharana (focused concentration) and dhyana (mindfulness meditation). Moving at a moderate pace, you will be led through a series of asanas (postures) linked together with breath-based movement. Emphasis will be placed on safe alignment techniques, breath control, and mindfulness. You will have space to come as you are, without judgment, and leave stronger both mentally and physically. The warm room is not unbearable, and helps to facilitate a gentle sweat as you move your energy. Water cooler and towels provided.
