About the Class

The benefits of yoga ARE accessible to you! This class is for everyone, but particularly for those who might have reservations, for whatever reason, about trying yoga. Cast aside your visions of impossibly flexible practitioners and start where you are (i.e. can't touch your toes (or knees)? No problem! You won't be the only one!) With its unique use of props, pose modifications, and deep understanding of body mechanics, Iyengar Yoga is particularly well-suited to students with (perceived) barriers to participation. Come explore in a healthy, compassionate and supportive way, develop a deeper relationship with your body, and begin to realize the many benefits of practice...yes, even if you can't cross your legs! Experience Level: Beginner and/or those new to Iyengar Yoga.
